Crisal welcomed Paulo Fernandes, head of the Mission Structure for the recovery of the areas affected by Storm Kristin, accompanied by Ricardo Gonçalves and Ana Isabel Aranda e Cunha. The visit was also attended by Paulo Vicente, Mayor of Marinha Grande, and Luís Barreiros, from the municipality’s Business Relations, Entrepreneurship and Internationalisation area. 

During the visit, Crisal presented the impacts caused by the storm, the progress achieved in recovering the affected areas and the work still underway. The participants also discussed matters of particular relevance to Crisal, including energy, support actions, insurance and EU requirements, as well as the modernisation, energy-efficiency and decarbonisation projects supported by Portugal’s Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR). These investments are helping to strengthen the operation’s resilience, efficiency and future response capacity.

For Crisal, the visit was particularly significant as an opportunity for dialogue with the authorities responsible for the region’s recovery and to present the company’s strategic priorities for the coming years.

Beyond recovering from the impacts of Storm Kristin, Crisal is preparing its operation for future challenges, reaffirming its commitment to sustainability, the glass industry and the Marinha Grande region.
